She was 53 years, 0 months and 1 day old.She was married to David Jones, who survives her, Sept. 7, 1871. This union was blessed with two children, the oldest, Alta, wife of Clay E. Thomas, departed this life May 2, 1901. She left in her mother’s care their little boy, Lawrence D., the youngest child. Omar married Katherine Hatz and settled in Chicago, III. Four sisters and two brothers remain to mourn their loss, as follows: Jane Wise, of Youngstown; Lucinda Adams, of Chris-man; Bell Frazier of Dana; Ann Wimsett and Richard Nichols of Seottland and Omar Nichols of Clinton.Her parents Madison and Casan-der Nichols, were faithful members of the United Brethren church. This was the church of her choice, but after her marriage her home was at Quaker, Ind., and here early in her married life she, with her husband, joined the Friends’ church, and wehn able she was very faithful in the attendance of the morning Sabbath service, and of the Bible school. We recall earnest prayers that she offered and testimonials that came from her heart. For eleven years she had guffered and had doctored much. In July last she went to Chicago, hoping that medical aid received there might help her. But she returned home only to gradually fail until death relieved her.During her weeks of sickness her husband, son and sisters were faithful in supplying her needs and bringing comfort to the suffering one.She was a good neighbor, very faithful in times of sickness and need. Her home stands a witness to her energy*, wisdom, skill and forethought, but it is bereft now.Truly it could be said of her, she lookcth well to the ways of herh/mc/ihrtlsl onfl nafa+Vi rtni iVio Kroarl !
