Mix drove on for a distance of about 600 feet and then stopped. I got out of my car and walked toward the other machine. Mix was standing besido his car and pulling at a broken step. I asked him for his name and he said:‘You have my number.’“Mix did not ask if anybody was hurt, or if we needed any assistance.*’Sayre admitted on cross-examination that he did not ask for any assistance or intimate to Mix that anyone in his machine bad been hurt.Asked whether he could identify Mix at the time, Sayre said that he could not. He said that when he checked up on the registration number and found the car belonged to Tom Mix he then knew that it was the movie actor himself.I had a mental impression as T have seen him several times in the pictures,’’ Sayre said.Mrs. Sayre TestifiesMrs. Sayre, a very stout woman, followed her husband on the stand. Asked if she had ever seen Mix before, she said that she had seen him only on the screen.“Didn’t you see him w’hen he passed the intersection in his car? she was asked.“He was going so fast you couldn’tsee him,” was the answer.Mrs, Sayre said that she and her husband were traveling about 15 miles an hour just before they reached the intersection, and that they slowed down at that point. She said that she was excited, nervous and suffering from shock immediately after the accident.Mrs. Sayre stated that she was assisted to the Valencia oil station and that, looking out of a window, she saw Mix’s car after it had been stopped about 600 yards down the highway.
