In past monthCharter House Apts. hit by third fireHie third fire in a month at the Charto House Apartments in Trevose broke oat early yesterday morning resulting in estimated damages of about $4,000.The blaze, which Nottingham Fire Company Chief John Wolf said was nearly identical to the previous two, forced tenants of building D-3 out of their units — about 10 in all.William Bonner and his wife, Hannah, had to be rescued from a second-floor unit. They were unable to use the stairs because of smoke and heat Wolf said They were treated for smoke inhalationat the scene.Wolf said only four units on the first floor are uninhabitable because of broken windows, and smoke and beat damage, bat the tenants of entire boiling could not return to their units because water, gas, and electric services have been cutoff.The fire was reported at 1:36 a m. and volunteers from Nottingham, Trevose, Newport, and Lower Southampton Fire Companies extinguished it in 15 minutes Firemen and fire marshals were sbD at the scene, however, until 6(Continued on Page 3, CoL 7)
