Time was given as 1 minute, 13 seconds, counted from the time the balloon was released from the ship until demolished. Straight was second and Worth third.Roy Tooman was an easy winner in the 15 mile race for monocoupe planes powered by 65 horsepower motors. He got away to fast start and finished well ahead of the field, Glenn Romkey of Burlington finishing second and Harry Coffey of Tiffin, third.
