R., Has Appointed Committees to Arrange Appro-I priate Welcome to Chief.At a special meeting of Carleton Post, G. A. ft., an executive committee, consisting of Comrades John R. McFie post commander and chairman, and J. P. Victory, D. P. Demares t. E. F. Hobart and George W. Knaebel, with full power to act and appoint all sub-committees, was appointed to make all arrangements for the suitable reception of Commander-in-Chief John C. Black, of the G. A. R. of the United States, on the evening of September 13. and on Monday, September 14. at Santa Fe. The executive committee met and appointed the following sub-committees:On finance—Comrades J. P. Victory, chairman, and Jacob VVeltmer.On program—Comrades John R. McFie, chairman, and Knaebel, Fletcher, Hull, Hobart and Demarest.On music—Comrades F. P. Critch-t.on, chairman, and Weltmer and Schormoyer.On carriages—Comrades Victory,chairman, Wagner, Guyer and Cortez.On decorations—Comrades Bolan-der. chairman, and Krumpegel.On home receptions—Comrades McFie. chairman, and Hobart, Demarest, Victory and Knaebel.Oil invitations—Comrades McFie,post-commander and chairman, andHull senior vice-commander, andDemarest, junior vice-commander.On bean bake—Comrades C. D. Crittenden, chairman, and Fletcher and Quin, assisted by the Woman s Relief Corps.The chairman of the above committees are requested to call their respective committees together without delay and get down to work. All citizens are invited to take part in the reception and.to decorate appropriately their places of business and residences on September 14.The committee on program will meet at the office of Col. George W.
