BARBARA JONES GIVEN PARTY FOR NINTH BIRTHDAY, AUG. 29A party was held in honor of Barbara Jones on her 9th birthday, Sunday, August 29th at the local American Legion hall.Those present were: Roslyn Meador, Vernon; Paula Layton, Eileen Jones, Edna Foster, Valda Jones, Sandra Lawrence, Judy Logan, Myrna Sue Nattier, Paula Sue Jones, Ann Houston, Barbara Elliot, Cynthia Cox, Gloria Eagan, of Pa-toka; Frances Livesay and Penny Lou Livesay of Salem; Judy Smith, Vandalia; Shelia Whitehurst, Peoria.Those who were unable to attend but who sent gifts were Janice Snyder and Leslie Meador.Refreshments of birthday cake, ice cream and cool-ade were served by Barbara’s mother Mrs. Hale Jones, Mrs. Clara Jnoes and Mrs. Margaret Smith.
