Lloyd Cunningham, who pleaded guilty to the same offence, was given nine months in the same jail. Both men appeared before Magistrate A. [W. H. Smith this morning. Because Cunningham admitted his crime and give a straight-forward story, he was given a lighter sentence. Peltz also lad a previous court record.The electric drill was stolen from the Manitoba power commission ami was valued at $115. It was recovered by the police in Winnipeg. Cunningham admitted the theft and blamed Peltz. The latter on the stand, saul that his companion had handed over the drill to him and that he had taken it to Winnipeg. There he had tried to trade it in on a cheap car, and the deal had been closed when the police arrived on the scene. An allowance from $10 to $12 had been made for the drill on the car purchase.Accused Admitted LyingSpeaking of Cunningham, Peltz told R. M. Matheson.
