Kennedy’s signature while sifting through an abandoned home says hell keep the memento — for now.Don Herrick, Davison County’s civil defense director, found the card in April. He was removing kitchen cabinets in a home once occupied by former U.S. Sen. George McGovern, D-S.D.“There’s no way you can appraise it,” Herrick said Monday. “There are too many factors to put a price tag on it.”McGovern lived in the house in the early 1960s. He won his Senate seat in 1962 and sold the home to the First Lutheran Church two years later.The church used the house as a parsonage before abandoning it several years ago.
