Esta Mae Atkinson BaileySIMS — Esta Mae Atkinson Bailey, 89, died at home on Oct. 29, 2011.FUneral, 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nobles ChapelBaptist Church. Interment will be in the churchcemetery.She was bom February 12, 1922 to Charlie F. and Rosa Glover Atkinson and was the granddaughter of George and Polly Glover. Esta was preceded in death by her husband, Kinchen Turner Bailey, and sister, Lila Atkinson Weeks, and step-son, Walter Bailey.Esta was a retired Registered Nurse and life long member of Nobles Chapel, where she served faithfully in many capacities. She was the first female deacon elected to the Board of Deacons at Nobles Chapel and served in that capacity until she retired in October 2010. She was dearly loved by her family, church family, many friends and neighbors. She will be sorely missed by all.She is survived by her sisters, Polly A. God-of Burgaw; step-children, Elaine Bailey Deans (Dennis) of Virginia Beach, Va. and Dennis Bailey (Debra) of Kenly, seven nieces and nephews; seven step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Monday, 7 - 8:30 p.m.Memorials are requested to Nobles ChapelBaptist Church, 7330 Old Raleigh Rd, Sims, NC 27880.Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, N, Wilson, 237-7171, www.wilsonmemori-alservice.com.
