Girl Scout fund drive to start SaturdayMr. and Mrs. Robert Wilsonhave been named chairmen of theannual Girl Scout Fund Drive scheduled to be conducted during Nov. 1 to Nov. 30. Mrs. Wilson will be assisted by the following Fund Drive Captains: Katie Adams, Linda Walton, Paula Rieherson, Beth Smith, Vicki Anderson,Debbie Haney.“These and other volunteer workers ask you to help them raise (again) $2520.00 as their share toward providing good programs for girls in 12 troops/’ said Mrs. Wilson.“Your contribution helps provide books and program materials for our troops and their leaders, it makes training available to all volunteer adults,it keeps camping facilities and equipment ready for outdoor programs, it offers special events and activities outside the troop and community and makes trained professional guidance as well as office services available,” continued Mrs. Wilson.Harrisburg Girl Scouts served their community last year and learned many new skills. Several girls from Harrisburg attended Camp Cedar Point on the Little Grassy Iake in Carbondale. The Scouts learned to live comfortably in the out-of-doors by attending Day Camp at Harrisburg Lake.Residents will be contacted by a representative of the Harrisburg Girl Scout Adults. “Please give your support today, if you believe in tomorrow/ ’ saidMrs. Wilson.
