Statement OnSteel Plant FluPrevention EffortDr. Hnwley went to five steel plant this morning to inoculate the men working there with the bacterin toprevent Flu and pneumonia. Some-erroneous propaganda had become spread among the employes, causing them to fear this treatment and nearly all refused the treatment. The doctor wishes to say that this is the request of the company; that the barterin and treatment is perfectly harmless, and painless,' It hns none of the effects of smallpox vaccination, t docs not lav a person up at all. He has treated people from six monthsold up and n6f one has been injured or made sick by it Out of over 200 fa ing this treatment, none have had Flu” or pneumonia. This is offered the employe* by the companyfor their good and the community’s, and the men should adopt this without hesitation. Another opportunity will be gi\en the men Saturday morning. This bacterin is now being given in the camps and to other people with the best of results. 2 4-11
