Miss Lydia Eaton is teaching the Newman school, Mr. Frank Sammons, of Indiana polis, is visiting his parents, here, Harve Barnes and his brother-in law, Ralph McCoy, of Greensburg, were buying cattle here last week. Comrade Joan H. Sammons attend ed his regimental reunion at Indiana polis, Oct.15 and 16. During the past year 23 of the regiment died. Robert Lutes and family were Sun day guests of his daughter, Mrs. Ells worth Dean, at Batesville. A girl baby was born to Mr. and Mrs. George Lutes, of Batesville, last week. . Merten Lutes and family visited is son George, at Batesville, Sunday. Mr. George Unner sold a big lot of winter apples to Harry Hayes, of near Versailles, for 35 cents a bushel. Mrs. Mary Slater is seriously sick at her home here. Mr. Isaac Parmer and family, of Newpoint, have moved to Indiana polis, 2747 Cornell, Ave. Two of Mr. Parmer's daughters are steno graphers and a son has a good pos ition in the Capital city. Dr. John C. Hicks has pried his daughter Miss Alice, with a beautiful Welch Pony and a beauti ful cut-a-way trap. As a faithful and dutiful daughter and charming lady, Miss Alice well deserves this valuable gift and the Doctor is to be congratulated on thus showing his appreciation for his worthy daugh ter.
