The originalroute contemplated was front Violet, a point on the Lakeside \ Marblehead road about J miles east of MarbleheadJunction to Fort Clinton and tbenc* southerly through Bay township on the line recently grailed for the Fort Clinton Short Line toward Fremont About seven miles of grading for that roail has already been done and nego tiations have I men pending between the new company and the Short Lineparties for the purchase of the latteiVright of way and graded line as far at* parallel with the new line, but we nnd erst and that nothing has been accoinplished in that direction and that the new companv is now negotiating to leave Port Clinton oui and ran the new road direct from Marblehead Junction along the hayshore to Mud crc»*k where the present line passes and thence to Fremont andsouth.
