Sometimes when they passed through Indian Territory, now Oklahoma, the Indians gave them trouble, he said.He has long since given up any active work because his knees are “so weak”. So hespends his time just ‘‘a-sittin’ and a’-rockin’” in his comfortable old rocking chair and admiring his red bandana handkerchief which he always carries in his hand.
