BARRIS.Written in the October Number of the “Annals of lovva” by Dr. Charles A. j White—Prof. Sarris Was One of the Founders of the Davenport Academy of Science.The October number of “The Annuls of Iowa,” which -was received in Davenport this morning contains a fine portrait and character sketch of the late Prof. Willis Hervcy Harris, D. D.. ■whose death occurred in this city on tihe 10th day of last June. The article was written by Dr. Charles A. White. Prof. Barris was a Protestant Rpiseopal clergyman, geologist and educator.
