You are entirely right when you say that other communities have seen fit to do somethingabout this mess. For your edification, I am enclosing a photostat of the ordinance governing junked cars in Bay Village a good middle class Suburb of Cleveland. You will note that there is a fine of $500 and a prison term of 6 months for violation of this ordinance. I can assure you, you do not sse junked cars on lots in Bay Village.I suggest you give this ordinance to the city commissioners and request that they enact this same ordinance to cover these nuisances. It appears that these commissioners are somewhat like m good friends the county commissioners who will some day at some far distant point in the future get around to building a little 4 milewater line extension in Vermilion. Meanwhile, time marcheson.1,People will have the type of government that they want If they want lacklustre, we’ll do something about this someday type of officials, then that is what they shall have. On the other hand, if this type of government is not wanted, then youhave to go to work to remove these unwanted officials and replace them with the type who will enact laws and have them enforced among other things,I can sympathize with the Register’s complaint in this matter.
