George R. Weathers George R. Weathers, 47, 907 N. 9th, died Tuesday at St. Catherine Hospital. Born Nov. 2, 1928, in Popular Bluff, Mo., he had been a lifetime resident of Garden City. Survivors include three sons, Glen and Jimmy, both of 907 N. 9th, and Joe, Dexter, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Sue Mosbey, Fisk, Mo., and Mrs. Lavonda Kirkman and Kay Weathers, both of Dexter, Mo.; two brothers, Robert, Mansfield, Tex., and Clyde, Bernie, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Mosbey, and Mrs. Sharon Rushing, both of Fisk, Mo., and Mrs. Gladys Hayes, Popular Bluff, Mo.; and six grandchildren. A brother and a son preceded him in death. Services and burial will be in Ashill, Mo. Garnand Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Harvey J. Hooper Harvey J. Hooper, 82, Junction City, died Tuesday at the Valley View Professional Care Center there. He was the father of Edwin Hooper, 1212 Pinecrest. Other survivors include the widow, two other sons, one daughter, one sister, 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be at the Simpson Methodist Church, Alta Vista 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Alta Vista Cemetery.
