Mary Sawchuk (nee K;ostenchuk)Entered peacefully into rest, after a lengthy illness, September 4,1993, at East View Lodge, Neepawa, MB at the age of 90. Born September 4,1903 at Mountain Road, MB. Married John Sawchuk, 1919. Settled on the farm in Mountain Road district. Had a family of nine. Was predeceased by her husband John, 1947. She continued to live on the farm till 1972. Mary retired and moved to Neepawa. In 1984 she entered into a nursing home (East View Lodge). Had lived there till her passing. She had a hard time in her life. Was kind and friend(y.Leaves to mourn sons Metro (Emily); Roy (Mary) of Neepawa, MB; Matt (Lynne) of Thompson, MB; Bill of Portage la Prairie. Daughter-in-law Mary, St. Catharines, Ont.; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Was predeceased by 2 infant sons; daughter Elsie;sons Mikeal, Eli and daughter-in-law Katherine. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.Rev. Fr. John Shoidak celebrated the funeral mass at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, September 8 at 10:30 a.m., Neepawa, MB. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements by White's Funeral Home.Pallbearers: grandsons Ray Sawchuk, Dale Sawchuk, Terry Sawchuk, Danny Sawchuk, Garry Silliker, Orest Kostenchuk. Crossbearer Frank Sawchuk
