That Bastardy Case.In the case of Miss Elmira C. Lamb against John E Wilaont for bastardy, the jury fouud a verdict of guilty, and the Judge assessed a judgement of $100 against the defendant. Not} be*ing able to pay or give bail for thisamount, he was remanded back to jail, where the law compels him to remain for one year, if he does not provide for the payment of this judgement. He don't seem to have any richrelatives who are willing to come tohis relief.
