MRS. MARGARET RURKE98th Anniversary For County WomanOne of Fayette County’s oldest citizens, Mrs, Margaret Burke, Ohiopyle, willcelebrate her 98th birthday anniversary Friday, Dec. 2. She has 123 living descendants.Born in Allegheny County, Mrs. Burke is the last survivor of the immediate family of Herman and Mary E. RohJf. She is the - i widow of Curtin Andrew Burke,who died in 1923.‘'Grandmother Burke ” as she is known to residents of the mountain area, makes her home with a daughter, Mrs. Alice Lambie* Ken tuck, Rd., holds membership in the Chalk Hill Lutheran Church and is an honorary member of the Ladies Aid Society.Asked the secret of her longevity. she replied. “Have faith in God and trust in Him.” “Accept life as given to us by our Heavenly Father, who died for us, she added.Family FeleThe day will be spent quietly wilh a family dinner planned by Mrs. Lambie and enjoying the many telephone cads and more than 100 birthday cards alwaysreceived.Mrs. Burke is the mother of five living children in addition to Mrs. Lambic—Mrs. Mary Yopp, Phila-deJphia; Mrs. Emma McDowell. Greene County; Mrs. Oma Nelson, Arizona: John T. Burke, Sarasota Springs. N. Y., and Charles Burke, Merchantsvillc, N. J. She also has 34 grandchildren, 67 greatgrandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildrcn.
