Celebration of 94th Anniversary.B*On Friday, November 17, Mr. Sam. lel Griffith Philipps, of the Welsh iills, together with relatives, friends ind neighbors, celebrated his 94th an-liversary. The day will be long re-nembered by those present as one ofhe most pleasant experiences of their% *ives. The day was spent in renewing ld acquaintances, listening to stories )f the pioneer days, singing hymns ind old time songs. The guests all eemed to be striving to enjoy them-;elves and to make others have an en-oyabletime and their efforts were cer-ainly appreciated.Among the guests were three daugh. :ers, two sons, two sons-in-law, nine-;een grandchildren, four great-grand-:hildren, besides many nephews andThe scene at the departure of the quests was certainly affecting. Realizing that perhaps this would be th e last time they would meet at such agathering, the guests spuke consoling and comforting words to the grand old man who has passed so many milestones on life,s journey.
