City Only One In WisconsinWhereStudents Registered Gas ApplicantsLa Crosse was the only city in the state, and, as far as is known, the only one in the midwest that depended upon its high school seniors to register the more than 8.000 applicants for “A” gasoline ration books, it was disclosed Thursday by Superintendent ofSchools R. W. Bard well.As a consequence of the use ofsenior students, La Crosse public schools \sere among the few schools in the midwest that did notclose down during the first two days of the rationing period.By using the senior students.
