Lulu W. Farnham Has 90th BirthdayLulu Retta Woods Farnham. who resides in the Herbert Star Apartments in Brocton, was honored Sunday night at a 90th birthday dinner party given by her family at the St. Stephen’s Hotel in Brocton. Gifts included a decorated cake, flowers from her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. and a “This Is Your Life” tribute read by Judy Palmer, a granddaughter. Mrs. Farnham also received birthday greetings from President and Mrs. Reagan.On Monday night, the Herbert Star Association hosted a birthday party to honor Mrs. Farnham and Helen Marsh, a past president. Entertainment was provided by the DunkirkChoraleers.Born on Nov. 11, 1898 to the late William and Mary Harris Wood, the former Lulu Woods married George Farnham on March 2, 1918 at the Church of Christ in Phillipsburg, Pa. In 1920. the couple moved to New York State and located on a farm on Burr Road, Brocton. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Farnham: Gladys Woleben of Brocton; Mary Jane Crowell of South Dayton; William Farnham of Westfield; George Farnham, Jr. of Mayville; and Fred and Thomas Farnham of Stockton. There are 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
