GenerosityI T IS no' more than appropriate to take a moment or so to pay the highest compliment within our power to Mrs...Maggie Carow, 46-year-old mother of eight children, who ‘.found an abandoned. hour-old baby girl on her doorstep and through the goodness of her heart decided to give the child a home.That Mrs. Carow is generous, almost to fault,'no one will-deny, but in her. there' resides an inherent goodness, a love of child and home—something that many in this fast-moving world have either lost-or forgotten.Certainly, Mrs. Carow could have turned the infant over to an institution and nobody would have . blamed her. Very apparently not over-blessed wiLh funds and with many of the small luxuries of. Hie missing from her home, the burden of another mouth to feed could easily .have been too much..But in the midst of the world's inhumanities, Mrs. Carow didn't look at it this way. Having reared eight of her own. children and now caring for a five-month-old child of a daughter who is a defense plant worker, she had ,prayed'• for another child to raise—even one left• on . her doorstep. ,• y-'Tv know what misery the i^other
