FAMILY DINNER FRIDAY IN HON-OR OF ISAAC COOK.Well Known Salem Man Honored By Hig Children and Other Relatives — Birthday Occurred On October 22.Salem, la., Nov. 13.—-(Special 1 to The News.),-—The 160th birthday of Isaac Cook. of this place, which occurred October 22, was celebrated Friday of last week with a family dinner which was attended by all the children of Mr. Cook. The occasion was a noteworthy one. and was enjoyed to the fullest extent by Mr. Cook, and all the relatives present.Those who enjoyed the family Katherine were: Mrs Ktiiinn MeVey andlt;ton, Carl, of •Centralla. Mo.; L. H. Cook and family, of Hillsboro, la..; W 1*. Cook, of Platts mouth. Xehr.; (J. (J Cook, of Neodesha Kan.; ,1. M Cook and O. I. Cook, of Osceola, la ; Frank Cook and Miss Tiliie Cook, of Salem; Mr. and Mrs. Flam Hoekett. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Doan. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Doan and Mis Diana MeVey. of i Salem.Mr Cook reached the ane of one hundred years on his last birthday. Oct. 22. He was born near Baltimore. Md.. and went with his family to the state of Indiana when it small hoy. He removed to this part of Iowa in 1842, and has lived here most of the time since His first vote was for Andrew Jackson. He is in the best of health and walks nine block* to the business section of Salem without the aid of a cane.SHERIFF S JURY DRAWN
