MRS. SAM AASENFREDERICKSBURG — Funeral services for Mrs, Sam Aasen, 54, were held Thursday at 1:30p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg with the Rev. Jeffrey Crane officiating and burial at the Hawkeye cemetery.Laura Helen Schroeder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schroeder, was born on September 8, 1916, in Readlyn, Iowa. She was baptized on Sept. 24, 1916, in Readlyn and in 1930 was confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Westgate, Iowa.She was married to Mr. Raymond Burkhardt on Sept. 24, 1935, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Westgate. They took up residence in Hawkeye and then In the Richfield communitynorth of Sumner, operating the Richfield General Store. They had four children.On March 28, 1962, Raymond Burkhardt died. Mrs. Burkhardt continued to operate the Richfield store until her marriage to Sam Aasen, on May 2, 1964, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Richfield. Mr. and Mrs. Aasen made their home in Fredericksburg.On October 11, 1970, Laura Aasen entered St. Joseph’s Community Hospital in New Hampton and died on Monday, Nov. 2, 1970, at the age of 54 years, 'one month and ,26 days.Mrs. Aasen was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. John Schroeder, and her first husband,
