Veterans Day Invitational gets under way tomorrowThe annual Veterans Day Invitational crosscountry meet, sponsored by Kofa High School and the Yuma Active 20-30Club, will get under way at 1 p.m. tomorrow on the Kofa course?.The event usually attracts top cross country talent from throughout the a re? a, including participants from Blythe, FI Centra, B r a w1e v .Calexico, San Pasqual. Yuma and Kofa.Varsity runners will leave the starting line first, followed by the varsity tfirl runners. Next, junior varsity runners will compete followed by freshmen and junior hi^h competitiors.Kofa Coach Fred Feiler,coordinator for the* event, said trophies will be awarded for first place individual, first placevarsity team, the first places in individu varsity competition a the first six places varsity ^irls competiti along with ribbons in catagories.Feiler added that runners in the Yuma ar are encouraged to co pete, including junior hi school students who hii not been registered their coaches.
