Charlotte Woman Claims She Saw Friend MurderedBy GARY MARTIN Gazette* Staff ReporterThe body of George Bailey, about 50, of Charlotte, was found Monday in a shallow grave in the woods near Duke Power’s Dam in the River Bend Section-Police said Bailey died as the result of a stab wound in theheart.KNOWS KILLER Rural Police Detective Capt. Jim Auten said he talked with Mrs. Luuvema Griffey Lester, 36, of 415 E. Kingston St., Charlotte, who said Bailey was slain in her home.
