Elmer Jackson HopkinsAug. 13,1929 — Nov. 4, 2012MIDDLESEX — Elmer Jackson Hopkins, 83, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4,2012. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex. The Rev. Ken Wagnon and the Rev. Allen Stanley will officiate.The family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. tonight at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy., Wilson, and other times at 7899 Hoyt Road, Middlesex.Elmer is survived by his wife, Shirley Hopkins; his daughter, Susan Hopkins Wilson and husband, Sandy, of Middlesex; his son, Len Jackson Hopkins and wife, Jan, of Middlesex; his granddaughter, Hilary Wilson of Middlesex; his grandson, Benjamin Wilson of Middlesex; his great-granddaughter, Laney Wilson of Middlesex; his sisters, Ann Hocutt and Peggy Bissette and husband, Gerald, all of Middlesex; and his brother, Clarence Hopkins and wife, Joyce, of Wilson.He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Daniel Hopkins and Mettie Liles Hopkins.Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 9646 Stonev Hill Church Road, Middlesex, NCCondolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
