A BIRTHDAY SURPRISE.On Sunday, October 17th, about 95 triends and relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Gleitz to celebrate her 40th birthday. On coming home from church she found two large tables filled with many choice edibles and eight large cakes. They partook until they were all satisfied. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs.Chas. Those present from New Albany were Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rupp and .family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Williams and family, Mrs. Grover Tindall and daughter. Those from Louisville were Mr. and Mrs. John Zabel and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bicket and son, Harry Paukon, and Tom Sweeney; Mrs. Kate Huston, of Anchorage, Ky.The evening was spent in a great social chat and all enjoyed themselves.They all left wishing Mrs. Gleitz many more happy birthday. She also : received many bice presents. ••
