Free Gold Mining Company.The property of the Free Gold Mining and milling company at Gold Reef is opening: up In a highly satisfactory manner and some astonishing* assays are obtained. In a drift on the fifty foot level a streak about. seven inches wide on the hanging wall assayed 21.2 ounces silver and 20.4 ounces gold or 1418.66 per tori while the whole face of the drift is in splendid ore. On the 190 foot level the vein is being crosscut to determine Its width and when this is done drifts will be started and sinking resumed.Tonopah Gold Mountain.The east tunnel at the Tonopah Gold Mountain mine Is now in 144 feet, where it intersected a six-foot vein averaging J77 per ton in gold. This vein outcroppejl on the surface but had not been prospected before and the tunnel now gives a depth on It of 400 feet. A tunnel is also being run from the west side to connect with the east tunnel and thus cross cut the mountain.
