PARKING ORDINANCE TO BE ENFORCED HEREIPolice this week begin enforcing overnight parking on alternate aider of the street.An ordinance passed May 14 by the Common Council requires motorists parking overnight on city streets between midnight and 8 a.m. to park on the even-numbered «de of the street on even-numbered days, and on the odd numbered side on odd-numbereddaysStreets between Vine. Cass, 7th and Front streets, which now have a one hour parking limit, and streets where there is normally perking on one aide only, are not included in the ordinanceTo determine on which side of the street to'park, you will have to know the data after midnight.!If the date is an ever, number, park cm the even-numbered side; if it is an odd number, park on the odd-numbered aide.For instance if you are parking your car Sunday night, you will have to park on the odd numbered side, because the date after midnight is June 1. If you are parking your car Monday night, you will have to park cm the even-numbered side, because the date after midnight will be June 2However, you will still have to be parked with the right side of your car next to the curb.Police will issue warning tickets for the hrat 30 days to acquaint ou with the new ordinance.
