Wharton and other young men had been playing tricks on McCann, and the latter, in a fit of passion, shot him in the arm and spine. Wharton is dying. - _Four months ago Capt. and Mrs.L. S. Williams, of Chambers’ Island,made complaint that they had beenrobbed of $90 while on a businesstrip to Sturgeon Bay. A man andwoman were charged with the theft, and were searched for the money. Capt. Williams now finds the money in a secret pocket in his wallet.Kosa Schmidt, aged 20, resident inthe town of Greenville, OutagamieCounty, died of fright, owing to arunaway. She was left alone in thewagon while her brother went intothe house for a moment.
