The Nuutlii News, speakes thus pleasantly of a well-known former Friendship boy: Gen. Rufus Scott, who is to deliver the address here on Decoration Day, is one of the best public speakers in the country. He is a natural orator and immensely popular with the old soldiers, who ire always anxious to hear him talk. He was a gallant soldier m the first N V. Dragoons, and Oapt Flint, in writing his reminiscences to the Ban Fransisco Call, says that “Colonel T. F, Thorp and M ijor Rufus Scott had both served a year under McClellan *ud both bore scars from the Peninsular campaign.
