2 Child]Small Boy And Baby Sister Are VictimsBodies* Of Kermit And Floiup Sharp Found After A SearrhBird well Tank, in the eastern part of the city, Sunday evening added two small chil dren to its list of drowning victims.They were Kermit Sharp, 8, and his two-year-old sister, Lillian Eloise.Had Gone Wading Apparently, they had gone wad Inc in the south end of the tank while their mother and atep-father, Mr. and Mra. J. W. Greene, rested on a pallet under a nearby grove.Greene, who with his father, Tom Greene, found the bodies, rushed them to the Big Spring hospital, a short distance sway. Doctors said apparently the youngsters had been dead from W minutes to an hour. The tragedy apparently occurred around 1:31 p. nr.Mrs. Tom Greene aaid that Mrs. J. W. Greene had been ill. having recently been released from a hospital. and that the family had left their tent quarters northeast of the tank to rest under the shade of the trees surrounding the water. The children were playing nearby and presumably wandered off when the parents fell asleep.When they awoke, aaid the strp-grandmother. Mr. and Mis. J. W. 3rcenc called for the children. When no answer came, they presumed the children had returned to the tent.When they got hark over here and the c hildren weren’t around, said Mr*. Tom. Greene, my son and my husband ran hack to the tank. -I. W. was calling the little boy evrry step of the way. They ran around the tank, and as J. W. caught hold of a hush to swing around the tank edge, he notieed the little girl's dress.“She was floating in shallow water. They jumped into the water and finally found the hoy’s body on the bottom not so far away.Mrs. Greene said that many peo pie had been around the tank during the afternoon and that someboys said they had seen Eloise floating even before the parent# had gone back to the tent, but from a distance they thought she waa playing.Kermit was six years old in Jan uary and Lillian Eloise would have been three on July 5th. They were Mih J. W. Greenes children by a former marriage.Greene is a laborer, and at present Is unemployed. He and his wife, his mother and father, and otherrelatives reside in two tents atopa hill a quarter of a mile cast of the EmU Ward school. The Greenes have lived in and near here for 11 yean. Tom Greene formerly having been employed on the A. L.Wasson ranch south of town.Services will be held at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning at the Eberley chapel with the Rev. Homer Sheats, pastor of Assembly of God church, in charge.B. B. Sharp of Los Angeles, Calif., father of the two children, will be unable to attend the seiv ices due to illness. Survivors in elude the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Greene and Mr. and Mrs W. L. Robinson of Amhearst, an aunt, Mrs. E. E.
