Man Gets 14 Years for Killing His Son-in-LawPittsfiefci, 111., May 24— (AP) — George Bradshaw, 45, yesterday was convicted of murdering' his son-in-lw, Robert Clostermery, 2Rr on~Eeb. 16, in nearby Griggs-ville, and his punishment fixed by a Circuit court jury at 14 years in prison.Bradshaw testified that Clester-mery had threatened to kill his wife, Elsie, and her child, if she left him. Mrs. Clostermery is Bradshaw’s daughter. Bradshaw also testified that shortly before the shooting Mrs. Bradshaw had told him that their daughter had left Clostermery and that Clostermery was looking for her.Bradshaw related that taking his shotgun he began a search for his daughter, but met Clostermery and shot him.Because of Bradshaw’s truthfulness m the trial”, David C. Williams, Pike county state’s attorney, withdrew his request for a death penalty. Wayne Williams of East St Louis, III., brother of the prosecutor, was Bradshaw’s counsel. A third member of the Williams family, Circuit Judge A. Clay Williams, disqualified himself voluntarily and summoned Judge Fred G. Wolfe of Quincy to hear the case.
