A baby farm was discovered in Davenport the other day. An elderly lady had live infauts in her charge, but they all seemed to have received good attention. For caring tor three of the children she receives $2 per week each, but tor two of them she receives nothing, although the young mothers of them promised her that she would be well repaid when they went away. The Ikmocrat says one waj r*om riri»*«ii and the other irom La hallo, and both weft unmarried -indeed, the mothers ot all the babes in her keeping are without husband*.
