SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTYOn Thursday night of last weak* John Chance was quite surprised when neighbors and friends to the number of more than seventy came pouring in without warning. John has been Sunday School superintendent at Zion for several years and the visitors were all members of the Sunday School. The occasion was John's forty-fifth birthday.The evening was pleasantly spent in visiting, playing games and singing. Refreshments of sandwiches and pie were served, and all departed at a late hour wishing John's birthday® came oftener.
