Geurge Meade, 78, 1134 Ross Ave., died at his homeat 50:30 a. tn. Tuesday.He was born in Clay County, Ky., a son of James and Polly Felty Meade and received his education in the public schools of Clay CountyA 54 year resident oi the Hamilton area, Mr. Meade was the owner and operator of Meade's Blue Sunoco, Main and F Sts., for 20 years until 1964 He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Churct Norwood, Hugh Bates Lodge 686, F AM, Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati and Senior Citizens where he was a member of the bowling team.In 1915 he married Ida Ledford, who preceded him in death in 1967,Surviving are one son,Ralph Meade, Wilmington;four daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Mabel) Roberts and Mrs. Estes (Edith) Barnett, both of Hamilton, Mrs. Anderson (Zyrada) Fox, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Zelma Blake, Oxford; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.Services will be at 2 p. m. Friday at the Webb Funeral Home, Ross Ave. and S. D St, Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation 6 to 9 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p. m. followed by the Scottish Rite Ring service.
