Me-Pike, an old soldier and prominent resident of the Judah school house neighborhood. He was 70 years of age on that date and in honor of the occasion his children, grand children and great grand children assembled at his home early in the day andremained until after the supper hour.' At the noon hour a sumptuous dinner was server, the menu including just everything t h at went to satisfy the appetites of all present The spring sun? shine made it possible to serve the appetizing meal on the lawn in front of the residence where the preading leaf covered limbs of shade trees protected the diners from the direct raysof Old Sol.Following the noon hour the afternoon was spent in social conversation and the guests remained to enjoy a supper that was equal to the dinner, departing for their homes during the shades of evening each with the wish that Mr. McPike may live to enjoy numerous returns of the anniversary.Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Ora Fender and children, Mrs. Nora Devine and son, Charles R. McPike and familyand Curtis McPike and family, representing in all a total of four children, twelve grand children and seven great grand children.
