NEWS OF THE DISTRICTENILDA(By The Ouette’e Correspondent)Enilda, May 11.—Miss Sylvia ReynoQds returned from Calgary and is visiting at her home here.Lloyd Reynolds had the mis* fortune to be kicked by the old reliable farm horse. A very pain* ful leg was the result.A very good attendance of members at the last meeting ofI*the Enilda W.I. was reported. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Thwaites and it was decided to hold a dance on the 15th. A variety of articles was planned for the handicraft exhibit at the W.I. conference at Big Meadow hall.Owing to bad roads and the illness of Mrs. Anna Berg the play “A Poor Married Man” was not shown at Kinuso on Friday, the 8th, as planned.George Campbell and Jens Hansen left the district to look for work. Paddy Simpson and Fred O’Dell have gone also.Bill McCorkle has taken charge of spring work at John Reykdal'sfarm.Mr. Dufresne left for Grande Prairie to look after his farminginterests there.Bill Peever left for Spirit River i in search of a job for the summer.Jean Thwaites entertained a few of her friends at a birthday party on Saturday.The sale at Bill Freeman’s farm on Saturday was well attended. Mr. Butler, of High Prairie, was in charge. Mr. Freeman and family are leaving this week forere it is understood Mr. Freeman has a job.Mr. Elkins, of Big Meadow, has rented both the Freeman farm and the quarter next to it atpresent in charge of R. Millsap.A.R.R. crew are at present working at Enilda making alterations at the station.The Social Credit Group met at the Big Meadow hall on Saturday.R. Thwaites left for the city in charge of a carload of hogs. He hopes to escape the delay of flooded road as happened last year to different stock shippers.Born to Mr. and Mrs. J. Reyk-dal, of Enilda, a son. Mrs. Reyk-dal is in the Peace River hospital.
