DAMAGES AND INJUNCTION SOUGHT TO RESTRAIN RIVAL OF FULLERTON LAUNDRYMANA. W, Cleaver, proprietor of , the Sanitary laundry, at Fuller-ton, today asked the courts to protect him from what heterms “unfair competition/’He filed suit in superior court for $1000 damages and for an injunction against the Whittier Steam laundry, to prevent the latter from soliciting business on Sanitary laundry routes in northern Orange county*Carl E. Inflraham, of La Habra, formerly employed by the Sanitary laundry, is made a defendant with the Whittierlaundry, which now employshim. Cleaver charges that In- j graham has taken advantage of confidential knowledge of the Fullerton laundry’s lists of customers, and is attempting jto divert those customers to ithe Whittier laundry.On the ground that these laundry routes and lists are “trade secrets, Cleaver demands that Ingraham and the Whittier Steam laundry be re* restrained from using them.Ingraham was employed by the Fullerton laundry from 1923 to April 27, 1925, when he left Cleavers employment and commenced working for the Whittier laundry He had become familiar with all of the Sanitary laundry’s routes in and about Fullerton, Cleaver’s complaint states, and when hewent to the other laundry, hetried to take the Fullertonlaundry’s customers along withhim. Cleaver claims he hassucceeded to such an extent that $1000 damages is claimed.The case is a noval one in local court record*.
