1 LOCAL RAIDTadych, Denk, Nitka Are * Held in $500 Bail Bond Each.Federal agents staged a third raid Saturday afternoon on a home brewery at the farm of Tom Meyer near Shoto. The farm is located a Half mile off the main road. A small brewery was destroyed and a large quantity of unlabeled beer it is reported. Meyer had not been arraigned at Milwaukee and no word had come from the federal office of the disposition of his case up until 3 o’clock this afternoon.The raid of the Meyer farm followed two raids in this city earlier Saturday morning. The group of five federal men arrived by motor about 10. o’clock. Two of the men appearea at the Ray Denk place; and the other three at the Frank1 J. Tadych place, both on South; Tenth street. At the Denk place 15, ‘half barrels of beer and some! ^ liquor were confiscated. At the’ a Tadych place the raiders destroyed! a basement brewery, a quantity of: ^ beer and liquor. ) wBail Bond ! j(At Milwaukee Tadych was held, ^ in $500 bail bond for hearing on; a.laay 13, when he appeared before _F loyd E. Jenkins, Lr. S. court com-j missioner today. Ray A. Denk and j Alike Nitka, Jr., the latter Denk's bartender, were released under $500 bond also and their appearance in court set for May 12. Tadych and Nitka made the trip to Milwaukee Saturday and returned’ Saturday night. Denk made ar-j ” rangements for his bail bond with-1 j out going to Milwaukee Saturday,'gh but appeared before the court; commissioner this morning with1 j the other two. All have returned' ca, here and the two places are being operated as usual. I ]Martin Phelps, arrested at a1^ brewery at Charlesburg, Calumet, county, obtained his release under; 1 £300 bond.
