A. Rawlings Health Center, at Pera and Cebada streets, is under construction, today,- Dr. J. Mott Rawlings announced, ■ Construction will be finished July 20.' The clinic, to be a pre-natal and- post-natal health center where mothers, infants and children will’receive care, is the gift to the city from Mr* and Mrs, Charles Stewart- Mott in memory of Mrs. Mott’s and Dr. Rawlings’ late father, Dr, J. A.'Rawlings. The late Dr. Rawlings- Worked for year years in . El Paso -for the health and betterment of ' underprivileged mothers and babies. „ The former East El Paso Health • Clinic was named -the Dr. J, ' A.Rawlings Health Clinic by Dr. T. J. McCamant when he-was City-Coun-, ty health director.Donates Funds The memorial to Dr. Rawlings was envisioned by Mrs. Mott. Mr, Mott is donating the funds for thebuilding through the C. S. Mottfoundation, a phlanthropic foundation created as a means of aid to the people of Flint. Mr. 'Mott’s interest in the development of recreational and health centers is widely mass innoculation of children canrecognized.The building of 13 rooms will be of native stone from the Dudley stone quarries. It occupies threelots,Plans were drawn with the approval of City-County Health Diree-be given, a weighing and temperature room, and small examination rooms.Dressing RoomThere will be dressing rooms and toilet facilities for men. and women and showers for women.
