George C. Bitter, 89, 342 Heaton St., died ai noon Tuesday at the Sunny breeze Convalescent Home.He was born in Springdale, a son of Valentine and Adeline Dittman Bitter, and received his education in the Newell School.A member of Springdale Presbyterian Church, Mr. Bitter was a life member of the Butier County Farm Bureau,He was a farmer and for 15 years was fireman for the Fairfield schools.In 1913 he married Harriet Dansberry who preceded him in death in 1954.Surviving are one son, Norman Bitter, Hamilton; one granddaughter, Mrs. Glenn (Norma) Winkler, Hamilton; two great grandsons, Scott Winkler and Mark Winkler, both of Hamilton; and one great granddaughter, Jayne Winkler, Hamilton.Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Klaus-Weigel Funeral Home, N. F St. and Elvin Ave. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Glendale. Visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
