CELEBRATES 90th BIRTHDAY.It would have taken more than the rainy weather of last Friday to prevent the relatives and friends of Mrs. Orpah Howes from gathering at her home to help celebrate the 90th anniversary of her birtb.yf Illness and business kept a few away but they too, were present in spirit. She received many beautiful gifts and prominent among them were masses of roses, carnations, ferns, fragrant spring flowers and a beautiful Easter Lily. At noon a long table was spread with a bountiful dinner and Aunt Orpah presided, the table at which she sat being one that belonged to her mother, and the plate from which she ate, from a set which was a wedding gift to her from her parents. Besides the immediate family those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hutchison, of La Gro, Mr. and Mrs. William Murden, of Twelve Mile, Mr. and Mrs. A. W, Smith, Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Smith and little guest, Mrs. Clara Smith, Mr. and Mrs. George Murden, all of Peru; Rev. A. F. White, wife and children, A. B. Guyer, wife and daughter, Zora, and Mrs. Emma Tharp, of Denver. Most of the guests remained until late afternoon and all wished her more birthdays as delightful as this.
