One of them, Clarence Goodnight, . still has an unbroken record for the track mile in Lubbock. In ‘18 he ran it in 4 minutes, 41 and 1-5 seconds. Sanders; Neva Strickland; Lelia Roberds, now Mrs. Krueger; Glen Bates; Howard Medlock; Evelyn Jennings; Grace Hawkins; Maggie Bounds.
