Paul Vortman of rural Bluffs dies; rites there SaturdayBLUFFS — Retired Scott County farmer, Paul E. Vortman of rural Bluffs, died Thursday morning at Scott County Nursing Center in Winchester. He was 80 years of age.Mr. Vortman was born at Neely-ville Aug. 25,1898, son of Richard and Elizabeth Garmon Vortman. He married Reba Kaehlert in Jacksonville Feb. 21, 1922. She survives with these children: Russell of Bluffs; Richard, rural Winchester ; and Mrs. Pauline Koehm, Godfrey. There are five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.A sister, Marguerite Vannier of Jacksonville, also survives. One sister preceded in death.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.Saturday from the Bluffs Woodcock Funeral Home with interment to be in Fairview Cemetery at Bluffs. Memorials are suggested to the Meredosia Rescue Squad.Friends may call at the funeral home after 12 noon Friday with the family receiving 7 to 9 that evening.
