El Cerrito ManThe past few days have held plenty of excitement for Elmer R. Smith of 6323 Stockton Ave., ElCerrito. Yesterday morning helearned that his cash drawer at the El Cerrito Post Office, where he is a relief clerk, had been robbed of $30. This morning, after hours of floor-pacing, he learned “it was a boy.The new' arrival, who “weighed in’* at seven pounds, four ounces at Albany Hospital, is the Smiths’ first child. Both he and his mother are reported to be doing well and it was believed that “Father” Smith would recover from the ex-I citement. He did not, however, show up for work at the RichmondPost Office, where he has been employed for 26 years.
