El Cerrito ManHas ExcitingThe past few days have held plenty of excitement for Elmer R. Smith of 6323 Stockton Ave., ElCerrito. Yesterday morning helearned that his cash drawer at the El Cerrito Post Office, where he is a relief clerk, had beenrobbed of $30. This morning, after hours of floor-pacing, he learned “it was a boy.*'The new arrival, who “weighed in” at seven pounds, four ounces at Albany Hospital, is the Smiths’ first child. Both he and his motherare reported to be doing well and it was believed that “Father” Smith would recover from the excitement. He did not, however, show up for work at the RichmondPost Office, where he has been employed for 26 years.
